1. Who We Are

Civil Defense Atlas ("the app", "we", "our") is an Android application developed and maintained by the Civil Defense Atlas team. The app's package identifier is com.civildefenseatlas.

2. Data We Collect

We collect no data from you. The app does not transmit any information to any server, cloud service, or third party.

Data you choose to enter into the app — such as your Emergency Vault contents (blood type, allergies, medications, emergency contacts, insurance details), family emergency plan details, XP progress, badges, and streaks — is stored exclusively on your device using Android's local storage (SharedPreferences and on-device database). It never leaves your device.

3. How Data Is Stored

All user data is stored locally on your Android device using standard Android storage mechanisms (SharedPreferences and SQLite). This data is:

• Only accessible by the Civil Defense Atlas app on your device.
• Cleared if you uninstall the app or clear its data via Android settings.
• Never backed up to any Civil Defense Atlas server.
• Subject to whatever backup settings you have configured on your Android device (e.g., Google Backup). We do not control or have access to any such backups.

4. No Analytics, No Ads, No Tracking

Civil Defense Atlas contains:

• No advertising SDKs or ad networks.
• No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or similar).
• No social media tracking pixels or SDKs.
• No third-party SDKs that phone home in any way.

We do not track your usage, behaviour, or any identifiers.

5. No Third-Party Data Sharing

Because we collect no data, we share no data. We have no data-sharing agreements with any third party. There are no in-app purchases, so no payment processors handle any data through this app.

6. Permissions

The app may request the following Android permission:

• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used only to send optional local reminders (e.g., daily challenge reminders, streak notifications). This permission is entirely optional. You can decline it or revoke it at any time in your device settings. No notification data is sent to any server.

No other sensitive permissions (location, camera, contacts, microphone, etc.) are requested.

7. Children's Privacy

Civil Defense Atlas includes a Youth Mode designed to be age-appropriate for younger users. Because the app collects no personal data from any user, there is no special risk to minors. No data from children is collected, stored on our servers, or shared with third parties.

8. No Account Required

Civil Defense Atlas does not require — and does not offer — user accounts or registration. You do not need to provide an email address, name, or any other identifying information to use any feature of the app.

9. Offline Operation

The app is designed to work 100% offline. All guides, activities, and content are bundled with the app at install time. The app does not make any network requests during normal operation.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date above and post the revised policy at this URL. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
